santiago at 7 months

Yesterday was a perfect day to sit out in the garden ...

... with "wee man" ...

... but who do you think looks more comfortable when left in charge of the wee chap? Adri ...

... or me?!

wilde (alternative view)

I took this the other day whilst crossing the bridge at the train station on my way to work - not the greatest effort I know but you can see Adris tower in the background, its the one with green bits on it, 2nd from the left

what a difference a couple of months makes

The evolution of mimi, from "random furball found in tree" to "partially domesticated psychotic-in-a-charming-sort-of-way house cat"

my top three albums of the moment

For want of something more interesting to post, the winners are:

3: lullabies to paralyse by queens of the stone age

actually the number 1 spot probably goes to any album by radiohead (from ok computer onwards), I'm going through a bit of a phase ...

on the beach in colonia

Not bad for winter ...

Not bad at all ...

Its hard to look relaxed whilst doing a handstand - try it if you don't believe me.

On the other hand, I remembered about 2km down the coast from the old town there was a pretty damn relaxing palm tree tucked away between some volcanic looking rocks and obscured from the main road by what I can only describe as a palm forest on the hill ... well, we found it again - its relaxing once you've managed to clamber up on to it!

my greatest (only) fan

What can I say - its got good taste!

boat ride to colonia

I went to Colonia back in 2005 with Ed and have been itching to get back there ever since. So, having finally persuaded Adri, we got ourselves over last month.

Here are a few photos from the boat trip, starting with the view looking straight down the mouth of puerto madero. Can you spot the puente de la mujer in the distance?

Yeah Adri loves getting her photo taken!

Moving on, this is the view just as you reach the river proper. In the foreground behind the pier you can see the ecological reserve (which is 100% reclaimed land), and in the background the fancy new towers at Puerto Madero.

3 months, 20 days, 17 hours, 5 minutes ...

Well I've been in Argentina for approximately that long now. Its going pretty well, I'm looking forward to the arrival of springtime in two days and the heat / sunshine / good vibes that come with it.
